Unboxing of the BabyStart One Hand Fold Pushchair

For the last few months we have been looking for a new pushchair for Freddie. As we are going to be going on two big trips this year we started looking for something that was a bit more travel friendly.

We currently use a Mamas and Papas Armadillo which we adore, but if we need to fold it, even though it is lightweight when it’s folded it is awkward to carry when we are carrying Freddie.

When we saw that Argos had the BabyStart One Handed Fold Pushchair reduced from £119.99 down to £46.99 we decided to get one to try out!

The reviews on the Argos website were kind of mixed, some were good and some were bad. But I think reviews of all pushchairs can be like that as we have seen some shocking reviews of the Armadillo and we ourselves had a terrible time with the one we had when James was a toddler.

Weighing only 5kg and suitable for children from six months to three years or weigh up to 15kg. When it is folded its dimensions are Length 55cm, Width 45cm and Depth 23cm. It has fixed recline positions, a 5 point harness, Lockable front swivel wheels, a handle height 97cm , Linked brakes and  an aluminium chassis.

This is going to be fantastic for us when travelling especially on the train as it means we should be able to put it in the overhead rack or under one of our seats! And with any luck we should be able to pop it up and strap Freddie in while still in the train carriage!

I picked this up from Argos and carried it back to our house no problem in a bag plus pushing Freddie in his Armadillo! Ok we might have got the free T1 bus from Tesco to the local shops and then walked from the shops to home, but that is what we quite often do when we have been up to Kingston Park.

The box contained: The chassis with fixed seat unit, The bumper bar and the two front wheels! The pushchair also came in its own carry bag which will be fantastic for when we take it to Majorca later this year!

When we got it home I started to assemble it and found it so simple. It was a case of open the box, open the bag, unclip the lock and unfold then click on front wheels and bumper bar! It was all set up and ready to go within about twenty minutes of us getting back into the house! It took me a few minutes to work out the folding mechanism, but once I had has put it up and down a few times I had it down to a tee!

I really cannot wait to take this on the train in a few weeks time and give it a real test out on a day out in London! This photo is two photos of the pushchair one with bumper bar and one without! Since these were taken we have also added out spare footmuff to it so we know that Freddie will be nice and cosy especially on a day out and London in February and of course when we are crossing London and getting the train to their grandparents house in the evening.

**We purchased this Product with our own money and chose to write this review of it to show how useful it is in everyday life!**

Living Arrows 2018 3/53

Welcome back to Living Arrows and we have made it to week three!!

James has been back at school for a week now and boy am I glad to have some routine back! I have really missed it over the school holidays! We drop James off at ten to nine and since the school is so close to our house mummy and Freddie are normally back in by nine am at the latest! James also had a school trip on Tuesday to Thornley Woods which he thoroughly enjoyed! James loves nothing more than being outside in the mud! So he was sent off to school in his waterproof trousers and his wellies, but he did have his school trousers, socks and shoes in a bag!

Freddie started playgroup last week for his two weekly sessions and he seemed to have a had a slight wobble on his first day, where they phoned and asked me to come and pick him up early, but by the time I got there he had settled down. He was also back to his Fun Play and Learn group at Sure Start on Thursday! It was lovely to be back and see all his little friends! I think this group has been the making of him as he has been going since he was seven weeks old so he has grown up going once a week. He really gets confused if he is not there! Freddie has also taken a big shine to his Iggle Piggle that he got for his birthday from mummy's aunt and uncle! He was clinging onto him while eating his lunch!

Here's to completing week three and lets look forward to week four!

Siblings January 2018

So again I am trying to do the Siblings Project for 2018! My Boys have grown up so much this last year, So I am determined to get a photo a month of my boys!

This month has been pretty quiet as James has gone back to school after his Christmas break and straight into a new project and a school trip on the second day of term! Freddie has also started his two sessions a week at a local playgroup.

These were taken during the school holidays before James went back to school. Daddy had just gone back to work after the New Year and James was messing about and jumping on Freddie who was sat on the sofa!

The boys have got a lot closer over the last year and I am really looking forward to recording their bond over the next twelve months!

The First Week Of Playgroup!

So Freddie has completed his first week of playgroup and he absolutely loved it! He only does two sessions a week of three hours a time so he's only away from me for six hours a week.

The playgroup is based at James school and it has its own little playground fenced off from the main playground of the school! The windows face into the main school yard so Freddie has a chance of seeing James when he is outside playing!

Its only a short walk up and as Freddie starts at 1145 he has to take a pack lunch!! As we have not been able to get a lunch bag for him yet that we like he is actually borrowing one from James! He's not a fan of sandwiches so hes taking mini sausage rolls, cheese cubes, sliced cocktail sausages, plus mini breadsticks, fruit drops and raisins! I would rather he has too much food than too little!

Our first walk up to the playgroup was so much fun as we were using our Adventure Belt (review coming soon!). Once the door was open Freddie ran straight in and mummy took of his coat and hung it up with his bag! He then went straight into the playgroup room and didn't look back at mummy! At one pm the phone rang and it was the playgroup! Freddie was having a major meltdown and was screaming! They asked me to go up and collect him at half past one which was fine by me as I was actually missing him! Once I got up there the little monkey had settled down and was happily playing in the water tray! So the staff suggested leaving him till his finish time at quarter to three so I came back home!

When I picked him up he was in such a happy mood and wasn't too keen on climbing into his pushchair, but when he saw mummy had put Iggle Piggle in and also his blanket was there he soon got in! We then went for a short walk before heading back to pick up James! While waiting for James, Freddie decided to pass out as he was so tired! He only had a short cat nap and was awake by twenty past three when we got home with James!

On his second day again we walked up ready for him to start at quarter to twelve! When we got there we found that Freddie now had his own peg so we hung up his coat and bag ready to go in. Then when it was time to go in he had a melt down and started crying and screaming. My heart was in my mouth as I hate hearing my little boy screaming like that, but it was exactly the same scream that he does when we get home from taking James to school or if I leave him to nip to the shop. The staff took him straight off to the water table which is his favourite thing to do. When I picked him up the staff said he only cried for fifteen minutes after I left. But once he had his coat on to come home he started crying again as he saw other children leaving, But as soon as he saw me he stopped crying and started chatting away!

He finishes at two forty five so since we walk up, I take the pushchair when I go to collect him as I then have to hang around or go for a walk before I collect James at three fifteen. There is literally no point or time to walk home to walk straight back!

Over all I think the first week has gone ok, especially as he has his normal sure start group on a thursday morning! There will be an update in a few weeks at the end of the half term as to how my baby boy is doing in his first steps towards school!

Review Of The Cute Nico Backpack

Just before Christmas we were sent the fantastic Cute Nico changing bag backpack. I posted our initial first impressions here!

We have been using the bag now for a few weeks, including over the school holidays when we have been out and about with two children. This bag is absolutely fantastic and has so much space inside it for two children!

In front pocket I use the insulated bag to keep plenty of snacks for both boys while we are out and about. I can normally also get either a bottle or a cup with some milk in here for Freddie as well! I use the mesh bag to keep baby wipes, pull ups and nappy bags for Freddie. Once he is toilet trained I think spare underwear and zip lock bags will go into here!

In the left hand side pocket, If it's just me and Freddie then I will have his water bottle in here, But if James is with us then I will put extra snacks in here. On Christmas Day I actually had the power bank and two usb charging cables in here as we had both the kindle fire and James new tablet with us, just incase the boys needed extra entertainment at the hotel we were at for lunch.

In the right hand pocket which is designed as a tissue pocket due to the zip on the pocket to access it, I tend to keep hand sanitiser and lip balm, especially as I have had bad lips lately and needed pretty quick access to it!

Inside I have a change of clothes for both boys, a travel toilet seat for James, an inhaler and spacer, my purse and of course the included changing mat for Freddie. James does not normally need the travel toilet seat, but its there in case he needs a number two while we are out somewhere.

Even with all this in the bag it does not feel overloaded at all and hangs perfectly on the back of the pram or on my back.

Over all we have found our experience with the Cute Nico backpack to be fantastic and there is nothing we would really change apart from maybe making the shoulder straps a tiny bit more padded!

**We were sent a voucher code to cover the cost of the bag from Amazon, however all views and photos in this review are our own!**

Living Arrows 2018 2/52

So its another week of Living Arrows and what a week it has been for us! Daddy has gone back to work after being off for New Year so it's just been mummy, James and Freddie for a few days till the weekend and now James is back to school today and boy is Freddie missing him!

James got a light up Spiderman mask for Christmas so this weeks photos of him is him wearing it and of course doing his latest posing smirk! He kept trying to make Freddie wear  the mask too, but he was not impressed and kept taking it off!

While James was messing around wearing his mask, Freddie was being his normal cheeky self and posing for the camera shouting "Cheese!"

'm really hoping I can complete Living Arrows this year as last year I totally failed after about three or four weeks! We are in for a stressful few weeks so I'm really hoping I can write and keep this going!
