Moving update

So we are currently in the middle of buying our first family home.

We have been renting since we got together almost seven years ago and are currently in our fifth rented property together but our first house.

Seeing as our tenancy is up before we have completed on the house. All our furniture is going into the local safe store inNewcastle, while we go and temporary camp out at my mum and dads while waiting on the sale completing.

We made a start on packing up the house a few weeks ago and our dining room is currently piled high with boxes.

James seems to be taking it ok. We have been talking to him for a while about his new house, his new bedroom and his new garden. 

We started packing up stuff in his bedroom today and he was taking it pretty well. Most of his teddies been put into black bags apart from his favourites - Baby Tad, Mr Panda, Mr Moussey Supermarket & of course CB who will be coming with us to nana and gaga's house.

There's not much left to do, we are hoping to get our beds collapsed next weekend then it's all systems go for leaving the house and handing back the keys on 20th April.

Big Reunion Boybands

Argh what a night we had!!! 

The show was amazing. I'm guessing most people heard about the drama that went on after the Liverpool show on the Tuesday night, where the bus broke down again!! The poor boys finally got to Carlisle at 6am. They then left Carlisle at 1pm in a new bus and finally got into Aberdeen at 6:45pm. They had to move the meet and greet to after the show instead!!

Ok onto the bands:

A1 - I had last seen them about 10 years ago and omg I swear they have got better looking with age! Ben Adams is still a hottie! 

911 - I saw them a few months ago on their own tour, just days before this tour was announced.

Damage - I had never seen them before so wasn't sure what to expect.

Blue - Well I last saw them years ago, think it was 2004, when I went to their album launch at a club in Leeds. They were just as good as I remember.

3T - I used to love their music, just not really them, I think it was the fact they were Jackson family that put me off.

5th Story - this band was put together by itv of ex solo and band members. We had Dane Bowers, Kenzie, Adam Rickett, Gareth Gates and Kavana. They were absolutely brilliant would love to see them again!! 

So due to the late arrival after the Liverpool show and they bus changes, the show was late starting, so they just scrapped the interval so the show finished on time. It was so much easier to get out of the AECC than Newcastle arena. We were back in the car and on our way by about twenty to eleven.

Demanding toddler hasn't given me a chance to download the proper camera photos, but these are the snaps off my Samsung S3. Will do a photo post when I have downloaded them!

Train trip up

Well what can I say except:

Long - was over four hours especially as the train was delayed before it even left Newcastle.

Hot - for some reason the train was boiling even with the draft coming from the doors open window.

Boring - last time I did this trip I had my gorgeous little man to help keep us amused and busy. But this time little old me on my todd I found the trip so dull. I read a book n listed to some music but really wasn't the same without my little family.

Will blog the concert on the way home on Thursday, all I can say is:

I MISS MY LITTLE MUNCHKIN!!!!!

Mummy's time off!

So the day is here.

This mummy has just said goodbye to the munchkin at Newcastle central station.

Im waiting to board the 1253 east coast service to Aberdeen.

Im going to the big reunion boybands tour tomorrow night with my best friend and yes I'm excited at seeing the likes of 911, a1, 3T, Blue etc but I'm also upset at though of missing my little man.

I'm upset at missing two bedtimes as due to Andys work shifts, bedtime is mine and James special time.

He cuddles into me on his bed and we watch nursery rhymes on you tube and then put his man utd songs on via my phone.

Bed Time Battle

Some nights its such a battle trying to get James into bed. If we are at my parents house then hes asking for his nana or his gaga. If we are at home hes asking for daddy, now thats fine if daddy is at home but if its a night like tonight when daddy is at work he gets upset n goes looking for daddy.

James used to like daddy holding him and walking round his room singing songs to him and that was the only way he would go to sleep. Now all he wants is to lie cuddled into mummy and listen to songs on mummies phone. 

Tonight though James kept getting up and wandering off, I could hear him playing in his room with baby tad or his Ewan the dream sheep. Then he would wander back into our room cuddle back into me and ask for song.

Eventually after an hour of this he finally settled down and dropped off with his head on my shoulder.

We have in the past tried putting James into his room awake (this was before we even thought about moving!) and returning him to his bed every time he got up. But he got so distressed with this method we had to stop. Plus it means he gets used to going to sleep in different places - not just in his own bed.
