The Siblings Project 2020 - June
Oh boy we are late with the post this month! Time has just got away with us being on lockdown and not going out of the house very much! This months pictures were taken when we were taking part in the Virtually Marra camp over the May bank holiday weekend.
With only weeks until the school summer holidays, I am hoping the weather improves a bit more so we can get the boys out and about for walks to burn off some energy!

The Siblings Project 2020 - March
Welcome back to The Siblings Project for 2020!
This month the photographs of the boys have been taken over a number of different days.
The first was one morning before school when Freddie decided to lie on the floor and give James a cuddle before we went to school.
The second was taken on World Book Day 2020! Our school chose to invite the children to wear nightwear to school and to bring a teddy bear with them. James chose to take his camp bear Buddy Bee and Freddie obviously chose to take his Moo!

The Siblings Project 2020 - February
Welcome to The Siblings Project for 2020!
This month I took the photographs of the boys when mummy and Freddie went to visit James in Forest School with his classmates for their last session!
Both the boys were having a fantastic time climbing in the trees! Freddie will be starting his sessions in the Forest School soon and he is so excited!

The Siblings Project 2020 - January
Welcome to The Siblings Project for 2020!
This will be the third year I have taken part in this and I really enjoy it as it is a fantastic way for looking back at how much the boys have grown up over the course of the year!
This month the photograph was taken before school one morning. The boys were being very cute together. Freddie also had his first school trip this day!

Siblings December
Wow the final siblings post of 2019!It literally does not seem five minutes since I made the first post of 2019 and now here we are on the last post of the year!
The boys have grown up and changed so much! At the start of the year, Freddie had just turned 3 and had just started his 15 preschool hours at our local playgroup! We were also still trying to navigate his allergies and see what was still causing him problems. Now in December he is 4 years old, in our local primary school nursery and he has been allergy reaction clear for four and a half months!
James has grown up so much this year! He is now 7 years old, he has done 3 nights away with his Beaver Colony and one school residential trip for one night!
I am looking forward to continuing this series come 2020 as it is a lovely way to see how much the boys have grown up over the year!

Living Arrows 2019 37/52
Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! If you haven't heard of the linky before, This was set up by Donna at What the Redhead Said and the name comes from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth" Each week I post one photo of James and one photo of Freddie and share what they have been up to that week!
So Freddie had his first proper day at the school nursery last week and he went running in! He took his Moo with him which I was a bit shocked at as he never took Moo to playgroup with him! He had a few tears in the classroom when he realised he was not going to see James and then cried on the way home as he wanted to stay!
James has been having a lovely week at school and is really enjoying himself in Year Three! He had his first swimming class and also his first meeting back at Beavers! Its been so hard to get photos of James on his own now he's back to school!

The boys had a great week staying with nana and gaga, just a shame the weather was pretty bad.
We ended the week with another visit to see Dippy the diplodocus at Great North Museum, where James got to try on a Dippy replica head!

The boys are back to school and playgroup today after the half term holiday! We went and spent a few days at nana and gaga's house like we always do in the school holidays. The boys had a fantastic time, they really enjoy visiting nana and gaga's house and both especially like going for walks by the river to see the ducks!
While we were staying with Nana and Gaga, mummy and the boys went for a walk across to Amble and also a walk down into the village. James had a lot of fun chasing the sea gulls away from the ducks, who were sitting on the grass by the river.
We also went swimming twice, which was really good fun! James really took to it and by the end of the time in the water the first day we went he was swimming across the pool using arm floats and his Swimfin!
Freddie wasn't too keen on the pool the first day we went but by the time we left the second time he was loving it!! We are now looking to go back in the next couple of weeks on a weekend! While we were at Nana and Gaga's Freddie was such a bed hog! Poor mummy had to keep moving him so that I could get in on one side and James could get in on the other side!

This week has been good for the boys. James got to hold a Hen at Beavers, when a group came in to help them with their Disability awareness badge. He also had to make his own bed as part of his skills badge!
Freddie had his appointment at the hospital last week where he was diagnosed with non Ige allergies to Dairy, Soya, Wheat and Banana. He's also reacted to something in baked beans so its now try and avoid them or give him a small amount and see if it happens again. We are also trying to source an allergy bracelet for him to wear that he won't try and take off or that another child can't get off him.
This is the last week of the school half term before we go into the last few weeks of year two for James and the last few weeks of playgroup for Freddie before he moves into the school nursery in September.

Siblings Project 2019 - May
Welcome to the May 2019 edition of The Siblings Project!
How can it be May already! It really does not seem five minutes since we were celebrating New Year and now its the fifth month of the year!
This month James has been loving:
* Beavers. He went on a trip to a local Sikh Temple for part of their Faith Badge and also took part in JOTT 2019. He walked from Newburn Leisure Centre to Baltic Square in Gateshead along the river Tyne.
* Dreamworks Dragon. James found this show on Netflix and has been watching it on repeat!
*Pipe art. James was playing this game on my phone when we were sat in a&e waiting to get his hand looked at the other week.
Freddie has been loving:
*Playgroup. He has been really enjoying his 15 hours a week and he has a lovely little group of friends.
*Moo. He is still totally obsessed with his cuddly cow and will not go to bed without him!
*Megabloks. Freddie is still crazy about his block and building lots of towers!
This months photos were taken in the Rugby fan zone on Newcastle Quayside after James finished JOTT 2019

James had a busy first week back at school, as the first day back was also St George's Day the local scout movement had arranged to hire out a local museum for two hours after it closed to the general public to do a Promise Renewal. So mummy and James had a couple of hours to explore one of our favourite museums without Freddie before James renewed his Beaver Promise with all the other Beavers! Then Thursday night was his normal Beaver meeting and on Friday he had a school trip! James also had a trip to a&e thanks to Freddie shutting his hand in a door resulting in bruised bones!
Freddie had a great week back at playgroup. He is still coming out the other side of his milk ladder fail, so we've had to put potty training on a temporary hold!
The boys are already exhausted and we are looking forward to having the long weekend for May Bank holiday next week!

Siblings Project 2019 - April
Welcome to the 4th instalment of the 2019 Siblings Project!
I really cannot believe it is April already! This month its mummy's birthday in fact mummy's birthday is only a couple of days away!
This month we have an invader in the photographs in the shape of Daddy! It is getting so hard to get a nice photograph of the boys together, that sometimes the only way of getting one is to say have a photograph with Daddy!
This month James is loving
*Beavers - He came home at the end of term with eight badges!
*Reading - He's been reading lots of books this month and earning them with is reward chart!
*Dreamworks Dragon - James found this while we were scanning Netflix and he loves it!
Freddie is loving
*Peppa Pig - He literally watches seasons 1-5 on repeat on Amazon Prime!
*Moo - He goes mental if he cannot find his Moo for a cuddle
*The Toilet - Freddie is starting to potty train so he loves visiting the toilet with everyone!

Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! So it wasn't too busy last week for James and Freddie. We had our normal school and playgroup sessions, but daddy did have three days off so he could do some of the school drop offs and pick ups for James!
Freddie has been doing quite well with the start of potty training. He has been asking more and more to use the toilet, so the next step is get playgroup to start asking him more often!
James had his normal Beavers group on Thursday, but instead of meeting at the scout hut, we went to a local nature reserve to complete some tasks for a badge! He also has some home work to complete for another badge he is doing at the meetings! James also went and had his hair cut on Saturday morning! Where has my little baby gone!

It was a pretty busy week last week at school for James. On Wednesday afternoon parents were invited in to join in with the last session of forest school! James had a brilliant time making a parachute and playing with his friends! He had also paid £1 to take part in splat the teacher for Comic Relief and he had a brilliant time lobbing wet sponges at some of the staff including the deputy head! All while the parents were watching from the forest school area having a right laugh!!
Then on Thursday afternoon again parents were invited in to join the class in the school library to read some books together. This time we had Freddie with us and we had a lovely time. James has started to get into the Harry Potter books and we had a lovely time reading some of the first book together!
Freddie had a lovely week at playgroup with his little friends. The big news this week is Freddie has started to use the toilet! He is actually asking to go which is a big step! He has been wearing big boy pants when we are in the house and a pull up when we had had to go out, but nine times out of ten when we have got back into the house the pull up has only been damp and Freddie has asked to go to the toilet where he has done a wee! I'm really looking forward to the day I don't need to buy any more nappies!!
