Freddie at 22 months

My little baby bear how can you be 22 months old already! In eight weeks you will be turning two years old! The last two years have gone by so fast!
In the last month your speech has come on so much! You are always babbling your head off! Your favourite words are mum, daddy and gaga! You often pick up my iPad and shout gaga gaga till I out FaceTime on either nana and gaga!
You still absolutely adore your big brother and we have had some tears and tantrums when he goes into school as you miss him so much! Then once we get James home you are his little shadow! You never leave him alone!
You have mastered the stairs like a pro! There's been times you have legged it from mummy and I have found you sitting laughing at the bottom of the stairs!
You are in all 18-24 month clothing with the odd 12-18 top still fitting. You are in a size 4 pull up, but have moved onto the 6+ nappy at night.
You love your milk and have a 9oz bottle at bedtime, with one beaker in the day and numerous cups of water! You love your food and are willing to try anything you are given! You definetly eat more than James at some meals! You are a big fan of fruit and veggies!
You are still very much a mamas boy, you like nothing more than snuggling up with mummy when you are tired, even if you do get muddled and call me daddy at times! When daddy gets in from work though you are his shadow and all I hear is daddy, daddy, daddy!
You have been pretty poorly lately with upset stomach and a virus. I miss my happy little man.
We love you so much titch

Kinetic Rock Review

James is your typical boy who loves anything construction related. In fact his school teacher in reception said if James could have spent all day in the construction area of the class room he would have been happiest! So you can imagine how excited mummy was when the lovely people at Spin Master offered to send us one of their Kinetic Rock kits for my construction mad boy to try out!

We saved the Kinetic Rock set for James to try out after his first week back at school and boy was he thrilled when he saw it! We also made sure it came out at little brothers nap time to save little fingers trying steal it! It also gave James some one on one time to play with mummy and daddy!

The set is absolutely amazing with a dumper truck and a rock crusher, which Andy says reminds him of an old fashioned mincer, the set really is brilliant! It also has a tool and a rock mould!

James was absolutely fascinated with the feel of the rock! His favourite part definitely seemed to be putting the rock into the crusher! When he was younger he was definitely not a fan of sensory play, even when he was in nursery he hated getting messy! I think now at five years old he is the perfect age to get sensory play out of this kit!

The rock feels really gritty, as it is made with real rock, it is however very sticky so does stick to everything! We got the out in our kitchen floor which is tiles thank goodness!

If I have anything negative at all about the set it is the fact there is not that much kinetic rock actually in the set, so I am already eyeing up some extra on Amazon! Plus there is extra construction vehicles available too!

Overall I am absolutely thrilled with the set and so is James! I can see this set being played with very often especially when little brother is asleep!

Disclaimer: We were sent this set free of charge in exchange for this honest review, all words and opinions are our own!

The Simply Small Co Bloggers Preview

My favourite place to visit in Newcastle upon Tyne has to be the Grainger Market. Full of independent traders, butchers and green grocers. It's a place I have grown up visiting, so when we were invited to the preview of the new The Simply Small Co shop, we jumped at it!

The Simply Small Co was set up by mum of two Natalie Sullivan, originally as an online business in 2016. Natalie continued to work and run the online business as well as doing pop up shops. The  focus of The Simply Small Co is on letting children be children, and the Motto is Let them Be Little!
I absolutely love shopping for my two boys so taking Freddie to visit The Simply Small Co as few days before they opened to the public was brilliant! The shop looks absolutely brilliant! And I may have made a little purchase at the blogger preview of a Blade and Rose winter hat and gloves set for Freddie! The numbered top for children's birthdays that are stocked definitely caught my eye as we have a second birthday coming up in a couple of months for Freddie! Everything that is stocked is hand picked for the shop by Natalie.

The first thing that caught my eye was actually a lovely dress with a mouse face on! Now I only have boys but I do have friends with little girls so I will be showing them it!!

The winter hat and gloves set I bought for Freddie are absolutely gorgeous! Made by Blade and Rose. They are so cosy and I cannot wait for the weather to get that little bit colder so Freddie can start wearing them on the school run! The Shop caters from Newborn to age 6 and seeing as I also have James who has just turned 5, I can see myself getting the boys matching tops for Christmas or days out!  I can definitely see myself taking Andy to visit and also my parents in the run up to Christmas! In fact I have already been browsing the website! The fact you can buy personalised items is a big plus for me as I love buying personalised things for my boys! I have already seen a few things on the website that I know James will love!
Freddie starts playgroup in January, so a personalised bag for playgroup to keep all his things in could definitely be on my shopping list! I'm so looking forward to visiting again and hopefully start some Christmas shopping and birthday shopping!

Situated in Aisle Two of the historic Grainer Market the shop is easy to find as it is right next door to the market offices and weigh house! Check out the Website at https://www.thesimplysmallco.com
