Each week I post one photo of James and one photo of Freddie and share what they have been up to that week!

I cannot believe this is the last post of the 2019 Living Arrows! This year has gone so fast! I love looking back at the posts and seeing what the boys have been up too!!

The boys had a really good last week of term, with Freddie's nativity on Tuesday, Then James had a fun day on Wednesday, then Thursday was carols at the church before finishing school on Friday. Freddie also had his nursery party on Friday morning which he loved! James loved the fact that key stage two got to watch the dress rehearsal for the foundation unit and key stage one nativity, so he got to see Freddie.

The boys are now really on the countdown to Christmas!

Freddie had a great time at school preparing for his nativity.

Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! If you haven't heard of the linky before, This was set up by Donna at What the Redhead Said and the name comes from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth" Each week I post one photo of James and one photo of Freddie and share what they have been up to that week!

This week started pretty quiet as daddy was back to work after being on holiday for a week. Then it went crazy as when we got home from picking up James, poor Freddie was sick all over our door mat so it was two days off school for him! He was perfectly fine after he was sick so we think it might have been allergy related rather than sickness bug as if he is sick from his allergies he normally is fine within five minutes!

James had a smart scoot at school on the Tuesday so he had to take his scooter and helmet in with him! He then decided he wanted to scoot to school the next day as well! James also went carol singing at our local Asda with with our Beaver colony! He had such a good time! I cannot believe he has been at the Beavers for one year and one term almost! He has definitely gained a lot of confidence since he started! And come September he will be in Cubs as he will be eight!!

Freddie finally went back into nursery on Thursday, just in time for the school fair on the Friday afternoon! Mummy had to rearrange most of her week due to Freddie being off nursery for two days! Not a lot got done work wise!

James has had a brilliant week at school and Beavers! We even took him ice skating for the first time!

Freddie is still loving nursery and even he tried ice skating and both loved it!

James started the week by going on a school trip to Beamish with his year three class and also the year five class from his school. They had a brilliant day! Later in the week they had a exhibition of photographs from their recent school residential trip and to end the week they had a Pyjama day to raise money for Children in Need. James also had aa trip to the Discovery Museum with Beavers to take part in a badge day. He tried lots of fun things that can be used towards badges!

Poor Freddie started the week with a trip to the doctors after he developed a high temperature and a nasty cough. Mummy and James had come home from the Remembrance Day parade to find him curled up on the sofa feeling sorry for himself. Luckily he was well enough to be back at school come Wednesday!

Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! Today is 11/11 where we remember all who lost their lives in conflict. Yesterday mummy and James took part in Remembrance Sunday with our Beaver colony. It sounds so odd saying our colony. James did us all proud wearing full dress uniform despite the cold! Mummy has lots of memories of taking part in local services when she was in the Scouts and Guides.

Freddie had a fantastic week back at nursery. He was thrilled to see all his little friends again after being apart for a week! He came out of school on Monday literally covered in mud and sand! I have no idea what he had been up to!! He literally seems to attract mud wherever he goes! In fact mummy had to wash a pair of school trousers every day as he came home so muddy! Freddie is also a little climber and he has started to use our empty wine rack in the kitchen to climb the door frame!

Living Arrows 2019 43/52 - Blogtober Day Twenty Eight

Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! If you haven't heard of the linky before, This was set up by Donna at What the Redhead Said and the name comes from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth" Each week I post one photo of James and one photo of Freddie and share what they have been up to that week!

Today's post is also my Day Twenty Eight post for Blogtober 2019!

This week is Half Term for the boys so we have come to visit nana and gaga!

James last week had a disco at school on Monday night. It was a wear it blue night in memory of the little girl who died as blue was her favourite colour. James also had his fancy dress/Halloween party at Beavers! It was also his two leaders last night before our two new leaders and mummy as assistant take over after half term!

Freddie last week had a lovely time at nursery. He had his nursery rhyme challenge where all the kids sang nursery rhymes for the parents. Freddie was a bit shy and grumpy and cried a little bit. He also had his fancy dress Halloween theme day where he went dressed as a spider!

Living Arrows 2019 42/52 - Blogtober Day Twenty One

Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! If you haven't heard of the linky before, This was set up by Donna at What the Redhead Said and the name comes from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth" Each week I post one photo of James and one photo of Freddie and share what they have been up to that week!

Today's post is also the day twenty one post for Blogtober 2019.

This week James has has his school residential trip to Hawkhirst at Kielder. He had an absolutely brilliant time!! When it came to leaving I had to go in via Key Stage Two door with him and Freddie. Then take him into the hall and hand over his spending money and medications to his teachers. Then I had to nip via other hall and the office to drop Freddie into the foundation unit then I had to go back into the hall to wait with James for his bus. I ended up helping James and half his friends attach the labels to their bags that the school had for them. I ended up carrying James and his pals bags for them to the bus lol!

Freddie has had another brilliant week at nursery. He is so settled now and comes out every day telling me what he has done and who he has played with. His favourite activities are playing in the water try and painting. He tells me that Freddie played painting or Freddie played in water.

The boys also had their school photographs taken. The first one of them both in the same uniform is adorable! If you have me on Instagram you will have seen me post them!

Living Arrows 2019 41/52 Blogtober Day 14

Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! If you haven't heard of the linky before, This was set up by Donna at What the Redhead Said and the name comes from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth" Each week I post one photo of James and one photo of Freddie and share what they have been up to that week!

Its week 41 already and today's post is also part of Blogtober 2019 - a blog post for every day in October!

This week James had to have some teeth out at the Dental hospital, so poor kid has not had a very nice end to the week. He is also in a phase where he does not want nice photographs taken of him either!

Freddie has had a great week at school! He has settled into the school nursery so well and is making lots of new little friends. I think that it helps having his best pal from playgroup there with him who's big sister is actually one of James classmates. The pair of them are so cute together. They are quiet often found chasing James around before school roaring like dinosaurs at him!

Living Arrows 2019 40/52 Blogtober Day Seven!

Today I am including my Living Arrows post into Blogtober 2019!

This week James actually got a free school meal! Since he started year three he moved onto pack lunch as he no longer gets the free school meals. Every so often his school does a themed lunch day which the school pays for and every child in the school gets a meal even if they normally bring pack lunch. This theme was traditional so James got a roast dinner! James also brought home Justin Beaver this week - Our Beaver Colony mascot! He was chosen as he never stopped running around the field when we were doing the litter pick and he was getting excited over everything he found!

Freddie has had a brilliant week at nursery! His teacher was telling me how well he is doing with using the school toilets. This is probably due to the fact when we go out more often than not he will use a toilet rather than a potty now. He was being such a big boy at the hospital the other week and using the toilet rather than potty they had! He is such a wriggle bum when he is in bed at the moment! A few times I have woken up to him lying across the bed with his head on my side!

Living Arrows 2019 39/52

Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! If you haven't heard of the linky before, This was set up by Donna at What the Redhead Said and the name comes from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth" Each week I post one photo of James and one photo of Freddie and share what they have been up to that week!

This week we got the kit list for James upcoming school residential trip to Kielder, which he is so looking forward too! A few of his friends are apprehensive about it, but I think for James as he's already done two nights away with Beavers he will be fine! He is already so excited! Mummy is about to finish labelling all the stuff he needs to take with him. They are only away for one night but the kit list is crazy with the amount of clothing! Mummy is going to use her zip lock bag trick and pack each set of clothing into one to make it easier on James so he's not having to root around in his bag for clothes.

Freddie has had a brilliant week at nursery. Everyone has now joined his class and he is making lots of new friends. He is already starting to leave mummy at the classroom door which is something that James never did. And he is already starting to leave his Moo at home, where as James took CB everyday of nursery for the whole year! His favourite activities seem to be playing in the water and painting! A few times last week he was collected minus his jumper has they had to take it off as he had soaked it!

We sadly finished the week on a heartbreaking note with the death of a little girl in the boys  school as the result of a hit and run on the road behind our house. The local community has really pulled together to support the family.

Living Arrows 2019 38/52

Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! If you haven't heard of the linky before, This was set up by Donna at What the Redhead Said and the name comes from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth" Each week I post one photo of James and one photo of Freddie and share what they have been up to that week!

This week James finished the week with another Beavers camp! This one was held jointly with Central Gosforth. It was up near Corbridge so Nana and Gaga picked us up on Saturday morning to drop him off and then on Sunday Nana and Gaga went to pick him up as it was easier for them to go straight to get him rather than detour via our house to pick up mummy!

Freddie has had a brilliant week at nursery. Everyone has joined his class now so he is very happy that his little friend from playgroup who is also one of James friends little brother is there as well! He oddly enough started crying at the Monday and Tuesday drop offs, but come Wednesday he went into the classroom no tears and left me at the door! So when I picked him up his teacher said for him to start doing the full three hours from the next day! He has loved being in for the full three hours! He still does his grumpy face when it comes to coming home.

Welcome to Living Arrows post 2019! So Freddie had his first proper day at the school nursery last week and he went running in! He took his Moo with him which I was a bit shocked at as he never took Moo to playgroup with him! He had a few tears in the classroom when he realised he was not going to see James and then cried on the way home as he wanted to stay!

James has been having a lovely week at school and is really enjoying himself in Year Three! He had his first swimming class and also his first meeting back at Beavers! Its been so hard to get photos of James on his own now he's back to school!

So James is officially back to school! He had a great first four days of year three including a trip! He is so loving his pack lunches!

Freddie had a successful home visit with his nursery teacher. He was telling her what music he likes which for a three year old is pretty funny as it's things like Jonas Brothers, Westlife, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello and everything mama listens too!
