Living Arrows 2018 19/53

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows hosted by Donna over at What The Redhead Said. If you are new to this then the name of the linky comes from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth"

This week has been quite busy for James and Freddie with school and playgroup and of course our Sure Start group for Freddie. Freddie absolutely adores his sure start group! Hes been going to this group since he was 7 weeks old so he loves it! The centre has a lovely little garden which is a real sun trap! So if its nice weather Freddie generally spends the full session outside!

How nice has the weather been this last few days! On Saturday we took a walk to our local retail park to buy food for a bbq that we were having later that day with nana and gaga. We also bought the boys a new paddling pool! They spent virtually all Saturday afternoon and then the majority of Sunday afternoon splashing around!!

It's also been a busy one for mummy with a trip to Ikea with Nana while Gaga stayed back at our house to do playgroup pick up for Freddie and the school pick up for James. Mummy also had an unplanned trip to local minor injuries unit after slicing my thumb open on a tin badly and needing it cleaned and dressed!!

James also had a session of forest school last week! When we had all the snow back in February/March his class lost a planned session in the school secret garden due to the weather so it was rearranged for 1st of May! James was so excited to get to school that he actually forgot to pick up his wellies!! So once the door was opened mummy ran home with Freddie and picked them up and got them back to the school before his TA locked the door!

Living Arrows 2018 18/53

Welcome back to Living Arrows 2018. f you are new to Living Arrows, then this linky is hosted by Donna over at What the Redhead said, It's all about celebrating childhood. It's name came from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth"

This week has been a good one for James and Freddie. James had his school trip to the Kaborn Homes site near his school to learn all about building houses as their essential question for this term is "What Makes a Home Sweet Home?" While Nana and Gaga were down, Nana went into James room and tidied up the mess! She also went through his wardrobe and took out a whole load of his clothes that were too small for him! James has all of a sudden had a massive growth spurt and is wearing size 6-7 and 7-8 in tops!

Freddie had his normal two sessions at playgroup on Tuesday and Wednesday. While he was at playgroup on Wednesday Nana and Gaga were at our house to rearrange his room. We took down his old broken wardrobe and put his Kallax unit onto its side. We now have all his clothes in the Kallax and he also had the second side taken off his cot bed! So now it is a normal toddler bed!!

Living Arrows 20018 17/53

Welcome back to Living Arrows 2018 week 17!

If you are new to Living Arrows, then this linky is hosted by Donna over at What the Redhead said, It's all about celebrating childhood. It's name came from the poem by Kahlil Gibran "You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth"

So James has been back at school a week now and he is loving being back with all his friends after the school holidays. He was a little bit put out that he wasn't allowed a day off school for mummy's birthday, but then he realised it had been in the school holidays last year!

Freddie has been back at playgroup and well we had tears again!!  Last Monday on our way to pick up James we bumped into one of the women who works at his playgroup and he was thrilled to see her! He started waving and shouting hi! When James has been in school Freddie has been super glued to mummy's side when we are in the house, he has literally not been letting me out of his sight! We are also in the process of weaning Freddie off green top milk and onto a milk alternative. At the moment we are trying him on Almond milk and even though he is still waking up he is not screaming his head off.

The weather has been so nice this week that after school on Friday mummy decided to take the boys to the park for a little bit to enjoy the weather, Then on Saturday we got up and headed across to Kingston Park Tesco and bought food for a BBQ!! We then spent most of the afternoon and early evening in our back garden!

Living Arrows 2018 Week 15/53

Wow I am in total shock that we have made it to week 15!!

So in the last week we have had daddy off work for a week and we had planned to do a few things but it rained virtually every day apart from Friday!

So on Friday we got up early and jumped onto a bus to town and then hopped across to the metrocentre to meet nana and gaga! They then took Freddie off while mummy and daddy took James to see Peter Rabbit at the cinema!! We had a brilliant time! I think it will be a while before we attempt to take Freddie as I really don't think he would be able to sit still!!

This photo of the boys together was taken on Easter weekend by my dad at the hotel him and my mum were staying in! I literally don't know when he actually managed to get it without me or Andy seeing!

This photo of Freddie makes me laugh! He had already eaten one bowl of cereal and asked for another one, but instead of going to his seat he decided he was going to sit in James chair!!

This is the last week of the holidays and James is off to stay with Nana and Gaga for a few days from Tuesday! Mummy and Freddie will miss him but I think the boys need a break from each other!

Living Arrows 2018 14/53

Welcome back to week 14 of Living Arrows.
I can't believe I have managed to get this far into the linky this year!

So the boys are now on holiday from school and playgroup for two weeks! James didn't actually finish till the day before Good Friday this year so he actually gets two weeks and one day off school before going back on 16th April!! He had a school disco on the Wednesday night which he was thrilled about, however Freddie was not too happy about having to come home and then go back out 45 minutes later then go back out an hour and a half later to collect James!

We went out on Good Friday to meet Nana and Gaga. Freddie needed some new shoes and James needed a summer coat! Mummy decided to get James his coat bigger than what he needed as he is going through a massive growth spurt at the moment and seems to be out growing everything!!

We also had a day out on Easter Sunday where Nana and Gaga treated us to lunch at TGI Fridays and then we took a walk down to the Quayside market and went to their hotel for a drink and also to let Freddie have a nap in the warmth as it had suddenly turned really cold!

This weeks photos were taken on our adventures!! We have daddy off work for a week at the moment but sadly the weather is horrible so we can't really do much!

Living Arrows 2018 13/53

Welcome to week 13 of Living Arrows 2018!

This week is the last week of term then the boys are off for two weeks Easter Holidays!
James has been so exhausted lately so I am so glad this week is only a four day week!!
The boys went to stay with Nana and Gaga on Friday night as mummy and daddy were having a night out to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was last week!

Freddie has been such a little monkey this week! He is definitely way more mischievous than James ever was at his age! But as soon as he sees the camera he stops doing whatever he is doing and shouts Cheese! He has also been playing with his Kevin Carrot from Aldi! Its stems from watching Rebecca Rabbit on Peppa saying Carrot Carrot on one episode!

Living Arrows 2018 10/53

Another week of Living Arrows and its week ten!

It has been so COLD this week!! It has been in the minus figures when we have been doing the school run in the mornings! We also had to deal with the loss of my aunt and uncles border collie Max. James adored him and was heartbroken.

James had a doctors appointment before school the other morning so we had to leave home at around 8am so we could pop into aldi on the way down and grab some milk before going for James appointment and then straight to school! And would you credit it, we had a few inches of snow the night before! Luckily we got in and out the doctors pretty quick so James was at school by ten past nine and so mummy and Freddie were home in the warmth by half past nine!

Freddie has been such a cuddly little boy lately. Last weekend he was so cuddly and actually fell asleep cuddled up to mummy on the sofa which he hasn't done in a long time! He had his normal two sessions at playgroup this week and we also went to our sure start group as mummy cancelled her dentist appointment as the weather had been so cold and then we had snow and even more snow!

So yes it's been a cold and snowy week for us, poor James was gutted that school was open on Wednesday but sadly their forest school got cancelled due to the weather! Then all hell broke loose when we got to pick him up early and then suddenly school was closed for two days! That meant they missed having World Book Day!

Thank goodness that school is back open! This mummy is exhausted!

Living Arrows 2018 9/53

Welcome back to Living Arrows week 9 for 2018!
After a crazy busy half term holiday which resulted in mummy, James and Freddie only having two nights in our house, It's so nice to be back to the routine of school and playgroup this week!

This week James has been loving being back at school with all his friends especially as he missed some time before the holidays due to being ill! After school on Friday evening James decided he was going to teach Freddie how to play Pop Up Pirate which now seems to be a favourite game with both of the boys! They were so cute playing together! I love that they are at the age now where they can play quite nicely together and I don't have to worry about leaving them and having to come in the referee fights!

Freddie has been back at playgroup and poor thing has gone back to square one with his crying when he's dropped off! Tuesday he was clinging to me so bad. Wednesday he wasn't too bad he went in crying, but when I picked him up he came bouncing out full of chat! He's also been enjoying testing out his new SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe (full review coming soon!)

I'm really pleased that I have got two months into Living Arrows this year! I'm really hopeful that I can complete it this year!

Living Arrows 2018 8/53

Welcome to Living Arrows 2018 Week 8!
We had a brilliant time last week visiting family and enjoying a family day out in London!

James was thrilled he got to visit Pudding Lane, where the Great Fire of London started and we saw the monument that was built to commemorate it. By the time we got back to my in laws house our Google fit apps on our phones said we had walked over nine miles and done over twenty thousand steps!

It was such a busy day! We arrived into London just after ten am and headed straight down to see the London Eye, Big Ben and Palace of Westminster. James was thrilled about seeing Big Ben especially as he had seen it on Go Jetters!

The photos of the boys were actually taken while we were at their grandparents house and out in London!

Living Arrows 2018 6/53

Welcome back to Living Arrows and its week 6 for 2018!
The boys are currently with Nana and Gaga but this weeks photos were taken before mummy and daddy had to go away!

These were taken last weekend at Nana and Gaga's house. James had to go to the dentist on the Friday afternoon so he had an early pick up from school and as a treat him and Freddie got to stay at Nana and Gaga's house with mummy! James passed out on the bottom of Nana and Gaga's bed so mummy had to pick him up and move him to his bed!

Freddie was sleeping in with mummy and as normal he was such a bed hog! He was also dancing along to Derek and Amy on Milkshake on 5! He loves playing with all James old toys at Nana and Gaga's too!

Both boys love staying at Nana and Gaga's, but mummy finds it really stressful as its all open plan downstairs which means Freddie has access to everything from the washing machine to the cooker to the stairs and the upstairs! He loves running up the stairs yelling for his gaga!!
